Skiing in Cortina d’Ampezzo during the 2026 Olympics?

The 2025/26 winter season will be one of the most unforgettable ever for Cortina d’Ampezzo. With the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games taking place from February 6 to 22 and March 6 to 15, the Queen of the Dolomites will offer not only world-class sporting events but also the chance to ski on most of its slopes throughout the season.
Below is the detailed schedule of openings for the entire 2025/2026 winter.
From December to mid-January: everything open
All lifts and slopes will be fully operational until January 12, 2026, allowing residents and visitors to enjoy the Christmas holidays and the start of the ski season with no restrictions.
From mid-January: preparations and competitions
From January 12, preparations for the Olympic slopes will begin, with gradual closures limited to the Tofana area (Olympia and Labirinti slopes).
During the Games: areas always open
During the Olympic and Paralympic period, the following will remain open:
- Olympia Chairlift (Pocol)
- Skyline Gondola
- 5 Torri Ski Area
- Col Gallina Ski Area
- Lagazuoi Ski Area
- Faloria / Cristallo Ski Area
- San Vito di Cadore Ski Area
- Auronzo / Misurina Ski Area
To ensure easy travel during the Games, a car pass system (currently under definition) will be introduced, along with enhanced ski bus and public transport services.
From March 16: everything open again
